You are indeed correct that we should have cited our sources. We should have included a footnote for that statement  &quot;America’s greenhouse gas emissions have actually fallen for the past few years&quot;  because it is an accurate statement. According to emission data from the Global Carbon Project, U.S. carbon dioxide emissions were 1,563,923 GgC in 2004 and carbon dioxide emissions actually fell to 1,557,649 GgC by 2006. We have rewritten the paragraph in question to include a broader description of trends in carbon dioxide emissions.</description>
