		<description>The facts are inescapable and the math is compelling.  There is no way that we can replace coal, nuclear, oil and gas with so called renewables in the near and mid term.  Personally, I doubt that solar, wind, tide and other renewables will ever provide more than a fraction of our energy requirements no matter how much we subsidize them.  They simply do not have the required energy density and consistency that is required to power a modern economy.</description>

		<description>Perhaps the Post isn&#039;t in favor of coal because coal is going to be obsolete? The energy that they don&#039;t favor is the energy that we need to replace anyway. I can see your point about being inconsistent though. We all have agendas to fulfill. The alternative energy game will be the same as the oil game-profit. I&#039;m not saying that&#039;s bad, I want to invest in clean energy, I&#039;m saying that just because your about clean energy doesn&#039;t mean your about really saving the earth. As Steve M. says, &quot;Green is Green.&quot;</description>
