So, when we read the incredibly contradictory so-called expert opinions by their Walt Musial on things such as when deep water and floating technology will be ready for launch we are not reading the research product of a government employee, but of a staff member in a private corporation with very close ties to entities such as GE.This is a tangled web, indeed. Everyone interested in this particular case and how it sets a dangerous precedent for energy projects on the 18 million acres of the U.S. Outer Continental Shelf should read the report on Cape Wind by the Interior Department's Inspector General. Cape Wind is a virtuoso performance of bad government at its best.When I contacted the DOI IG ti ask for this investigation and when I first met with their investigator I was told the whole investigation would probably take swix months. It actually took a year and a half. What the IG found is stunning.
