Eligible resources: wind, solar thermal, photovoltaics, dedicated crops grown for energy production, cellulosic agricultural residues, plant residues, methane from landfills or wastewater treatment, clean and untreated wood products, existing hydropower, new hydropower under 10 MW, hydrogen fuel cells[ii]

Renewable Portfolio History:
House Bill 2369 established a RPS for Kansas in May 2009[iv].

Credit Trading: Yes

Noncompliance penalty: The Kansas Corporation Commission will establish rules for compliance, but is not required to establish compliance penalties for 2011 and 2012. [v]
